Changing vendors and Working with same client

Can anyone please suggest :

 

I completed my contract with client today(Aug 23) and my client started new contract with Vendor B who is also my employer.Now Vendor A is telling that he will take legal action against me if i work with the same client.Is it not possible to work with same client by changing vendors?What steps i need to take in order to get released from vendor A?Please suggest.

It depends on what type of contract you have signed with that vendor.

If you have a non compete agreement signed you will need to wait for the period of time to complete to work at the same place.
