I want to travel to US in January 2014 as I have few prior commitments in India. Is it OK to travel so late?? If so do I need to carry any documents?? Attorney_10 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Share Posted August 23, 2013 Generally, the H1B beneficiary may travel to the U.S. at any point after the start date on the I-797 approval notice as long as the job offer and terms of employment specified in the H1B petition remain valid. If any of the terms have changed, an amended petition may need to be filed with USCIS.
