Do I file AC21 after changing job on H1B (I485 pending) ?

I was in company A on H1. Got EAD. After 1 year of getting EAD joined Company B on H1 transfer.

I am in Company B for 4 months now and my Priority date might get current anytime soon.

 

Do I need to file AC21 to let USCIS know about my change of employer ?

 

Or since they would anyways know since I did H1 transfer, the H1 transfer applciation had all my new employer, new job details anyways, so I shouldn't waste money on AC21 application ? !!

 

Please advise.

H1 transfer does not mean you are using AC21 portability. It is perfectly OK to transfer H1 without changing green card sponsor. So, AC21 portability is separate from that.

So do you say that I should file AC21 given the fact that h1 was done using pending i-485?
