Re entry with infant for PLR

Hello,

I have a green card and i am a Permanent Legal resident of the United States. My child was born in India and is less than 2 years of age. I have not stayed outside of the US for more than a year. However, i have made multiple re entries to the US after the birth of my child. This is the 1st time i am planning to take my child with me. Would my re entry without the baby be a problem?

Would be obliged if someone could guide me on this.

You can NOT just enter with the child.

You would have to sponsor a family-based GC for the child.

The child would only automatically have gotten a GC if the child had traveled with you on the first trip back to the US after childbirth.
