H1B visa stamping in Canada different employer

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am thinking about going to Canada for my visa stamping.

I have a few questions I would appreciate if you can provide me some guidance.

1: my previous visa stamp expired in 2011. I have the approved I-797 however I have not been out of the country after that.

I have changed the employer in the mean time after I received the I797 appeov.

Is it ok to go to Canada for visa stamping?

2: I had my I-140 approved through my previous employer and my new employer has filled for my labor cert.

I have completed my 6 years on h1. I got the 3yr extension when my I-797 was approved.

Will this affect my chances of getting approval?

Thanks

Andy
