H1B expired dated 30SEP2009. Only 1Yr used.Can the same H1B be used for new employment

I got H1B stamped DECEMBER 2006 however I used my H1b Visa just for 9 months stay in USA.

 

Now the H1B got expired on 30Sep2009 (DD/MM/YYYY)

 

Currently I am in India.

 

Shall I need to go for fresh application in 2014 quota?

 

Can I use this petition for further employment in USA. What shoukd I do?

A new employer could file a H1B cap exempt petition and upon approval along with a valid visa you could immediately travel to US and join your employer. In this case you get 6 years minus nine months of your stay in US.

 

Alternatively, a new employer could file a H1B cap subject petition by April 2014 and upon approval along with a valid visa you could travel to US and join your employer by October 2014. In this case you get 6 years.
