patchrowcester
Hello, I am on an H1-B visa status right now. I have the I-797 approval form which shows that my status is valid until October, 2015. I do not have the H1B visa stamped on my passport. I am considering going on a cruise to Central America - Mexico, Belize and Honduras. I am wondering if re-entry would be possible without a passport showing the H1-B visa. Could I show my I797 instead at the border check, provided there is one? If the I797 is not sufficient, are there any other documents that I could carry with me that would permit re-entry? Thanks for your help. Link to comment
jairichi
I believe you would need to get a H1B visa to re-enter. Wait for senior members to reply Link to comment
JoeF
You are going outside the US, so you need a visa to enter. Link to comment
