taufiqg
Hello I have a quick question. I have been on H1B visa for my current company which expires in Feb 2014. There have been some major changes within my company and my immediate manager (also the Managing director) has resigned because of a lot of internal issues. Long story short, the manager wants to open up his own company and wants to hire me and is willing to transfer my visa too. Personally me too would like to leave my present job and join the new company because of growth opportunity and better pay. My question is how practical is it to get my visa transferred into this brand new company and what are my chances of having a successful visa transfer considering the fact that it a new company with no tax returns from previous years or any other financial history with the IRS Would really appreciate a sound advice Thanks Taufiq Link to comment
JoeF
It is possible. The company would have to convince USCIS that it is viable, that it can pay your salary. For new companies, a business plan, venture capital, etc. would be needed. Link to comment
rohang
You can play safe, ask your manager to start you transfer process. If transfer went well and you get your application approved, then resign from current job, and join his company. near win-win situation. Link to comment
