Visa stamping appointment in Canada

I know there have been lots of discussions around this forever. But I have couple of questions:

 

> I am currently in US on B1. 100% on business/personal time with family.

> My wife is on H1 and my 5 year old daughter is (of course) on H4 with her.

> As part of a conversation going on for more than a year, I got an offer from a company for the role of director.

 

And the company is doing my H1. Its in RFE stage. I am positive but not totally sure. But let's say if the petition does happen, is it ok to go to Canada to get the H1 stamping instead of home country?
