mallam
I am in a very difficult sitation and kindly need advice and information. Let me tell something about myself, I am working in IT field for last 1 year, did MBA in HR in USA and have a Bachelors in Catering Technolgy & Culinary Arts from India. I applied for H1 visa under premium and got selected in the lottery but got an RFE for which I submitted the documents. (They had asked client letter, IT certificates) (I submitted client letter, MCSA, MCITP and CLEP) As per the client letter my current job requires 70% of administration and managerial skills and 30 % of technical skills. Now they sent me a denial saying that I have a Bachelors not related to Information Technology. Need an advice over here as what to do ? What documents can I submit them to get my H1 Approved ? I am in a dillema and tuff situation. I really worked hard to get into IT. Thank you Kumar Link to comment
JoeF
You don't qualify for an H1 in the IT field, since you don't have an IT degree. IT certificates are irrelevant, they never count. Find a job in your field of study. Link to comment
jairichi
Well, sorry to hear that. But, you need to have a degree relevant to your position to file a H1B. As your employer/attorney had filed the H1B petition, talk to them and act accordingly Link to comment
Desi Dude
What were your future plans when applying for MBA in HR in USA? Your strategy used to work 10yrs back but IT is now saturated. Link to comment
