How to know still H1B is valied

Hello !!

 

I applied my H1B from in IND in 2010 and got approved, But i entered USA in 2010 Dec as student (F1) and applied for my OPT and i got query. So now i want to use my H1B status which is valied till OCT - 2013.

so how can i know still my H1 is valied or not, First of all cani use my H1 now?

The reason i am planning to use H1 is the OPT query was kind of tricky.

 

Please advice.
