Fresh H1b, administrative processing

Hi All,

 

I had applied for fresh H1b, under premium processing in April-2013. Then I attended the interview in July-2013 at the hyderabad consulate and my case was put on administrative processing, telling she was not comfortable with the company. I was not given any slip or anything. The VO retained all papers and returned back my passport. Then 5 days later, I received all papers back.

 

Status as of now:

They have contacted the client and asked for the questionnaire to filled.

 

Questions:

a) Is there anyway, I can track any progress?

        The link "https://ceac.state.gov" just tells under administrative processing.

b) Also, how much time does it take for the whole process to be completed.

(a) You can not. The link is the only option you have.

 

(b) There is no time limit. You just have to wait patiently.

 

And, did you confirm with your client whether they filled the questionnaire and sent it back?

Updates from side:

 

I have received an email from the consulate to attend for finger-printing and also carry the passport.

 

Do I need to carry any other documents?

If so any specific document other than I-797, I-29, LCA, Client letter.

I would carry all the documents (just in case).

Carry all the documents which you have carried earlier. Don't simply delay the process, have everything in hand.
