I290B Question

My wife's COS from B1 to F1 was denied and we filed an appeal with form I290b. We were issued a new case no. Now USCIS send us two emails where the new case no. says the I290b is approved where as the old COS case no. says the case is denied. Both have the same date of March 17. Does this means her appeal is granted and her COS is approved or what?? we are really confused. Did not receive the mail document yet. Please help!

I am also in same position like you. My I290 updated as Approved on Aug 5 2011, but old I129 case# updated as Denial notice sent on Aug 5 2011.

What does this mean? Is this H1 petition got approved or denied?
