HI all,

        I have a total of OPT for 29 months, but my company is not E-verified. my primary OPT (1 yr) is expiring by feb 2014. Am i still eligible for cap gap for next yr H-1B fillings.

Have you already obtained the OPT extension or are you only eligible for it? After the 1 year period, you must work for an EVerified company only.

In order to obtain the extension you will need EVerified employer. Since your current OPT ends before Apr 1, cap-gap will only allow you to stay in the US from Feb to Oct, it will not allow you to work.

For OPT ext, your employer has to be e-verified.
