My current L1B visa has expired and i have a valid I94 till 2016. Can i apply L2 for my husband who is in India based on the receipt number and my I-94 date or should i wait for the outcome of my L1A conversion? Link to comment

Generally speaking, the Consulate will not issue an L-2 visa unless the L1 petition is approved. A receipt number is typically not sufficient. Link to comment
