H1B extension approval duration

Hello,

 

My current H1B is valid till Oct 2nd 2013 and my employer has filed for an extension which was received by USCIS on June 11th 2013 in normal processing. My questions are as follows:

 

1. How long does the approval take for H1B extensions in normal process ?

2. If the approval does not come by Oct 2nd 2013 then what are my options? like going back to my country by Oct 2nd 2013 or something else?

3. If I am late will it be ok if I now make my case premium and how long it take in PP ?

1. 3-4 months

2. You can work while your H1 is in processing

3.15 days, yes you can upgrade it to PP

1. 2 to 6 months some time still longer.

2. As you already applied on June 11th until you get approval or rejection you are in status 

3. no need to bother. however PP takes 2 to 3 weeks.
