F1 OPT STEM to H1B VISA

Hello,

 

This is for my friend.

 

He is on F1 and visa expired on Jan 2012, but he has an OPT STEM extension till Oct 2013. He got his H1B this year on lottery and planning to go India.

 

Could you please suggest when is the right to go to India in 3-4 months

 

Also please suggest where he can get his VISA stamped (India or Canada)

Since you are currently on OPT, better attend interview in September just few days before your H1 starts.
