Main Purpose of Canada visit

Hi,

 

 I am thinking to go for H1B stamping in Nov or dec. So want to apply for Canada visit visa. Can anyone please tell which option we need to select while applying Canada visa online? I see below options for Main purpose of visit-

 

To Visit Family and/or Friends

To conduct Business

Tourism

To attend an interview as a part of the provincial nominee program 

Other

 

Do we need to block visa date before this and apply Canada visa with that appointment or we can apply without visa appointment? Can anyone please suggest me on this?

You can use "Tourism" . "Others" with detail explanation for US visa stamping can also be mentioned. Sooner you block the dates is better . Some consulate does not have dates up to 2-3 months. For booking a VISA appointment you need to fill DS 160 form online and pay the Visa fee online.

You can select Other and metion Visiting and Attend visa interview at U.S. Consulate in IMM5257E.

If you block visa date, you can upload the confirmation page as the invitation letter while applying canada TRV through online.
