It is good to learn that one of the most notorious diploma mills that abused the F1 rules has now been forced to close.

"The University of Northern Virginia should soon receive a cease and desist letter forcing the campus to close immediately, leaving students unsure if their credits are transferable.

The State Council for Higher Education in Virginia revoked the university’s license to operate Tuesday based on the school’s inability to regain accreditation."

ICE agents raided the university in 2011 and seized records for an investigation regarding foreign students studying in the U.S. on an F1 visa. ICE found that the schools records were not sufficient.

After another audit and fact-finding conference, the council notified the university that it would revoke its license to operate. The university then entered into a consent agreement based on its ability to gain candidacy by an accredited board by June 1, 2013, and removed Ho’s financial interest in the school.

After the school failed to attain candidacy for accreditation by that deadline, the council revoked the school of its license to operate at its July meeting."

The "safe" schools are state funded institutions and big name private schools (top 200 in national rankings of all public and private institutions).

the easiest way to find out the schools which abuse the law is checking out where the maximum no of desis are enrolled.

Please people. Use your head and do NOT get involved with either questionable academic institutions or employers.  If it is too good to be true, it usually is a fraud.

Yeah, I read that. The guy on his blog can't even write College correctly (he consistently uses "Collage"...)

If you are talking about the one that starts with 'S' then you are wrong. This one looks like a community college.
