question on H4 stay when H1 holder out of country

Hi,

 

I am on H1 and got temporary assigment (6 months) in mexico. In this period, is it possible for my dependents staty in US while I am out of country? If possible I may come and visit family here in US every 1.5 month. Please give your valuable suggestion regarding this.

While it is ok for the person on H4 to stay in the country when the primary on H1 is out of the country for a short vacation, that does not apply here.

If you are working abroad, your dependents can not stay in the US.
