omshiv
Just answer the TRUTH when the VO asks what are you doing in Dublin...else there's no issue. Link to comment
t75
Check with the consulate to see if they do 3rd country stampings. Link to comment
livliv
Do you have any ties to Dublin? It is better if you apply in your home country. You can also return in H4 status and then apply for change of status. However, whenever you leave the US after that point, you will still need F1 Visa in order to return. It is better to get it done before you begin your studies and best in your home country. Link to comment
meera
I am going to Dublin for a conference during that time.If the F1 gets rejected, will I still have an active H4 ? Link to comment
jairichi
I believe you have to be either a citizen of Ireland or on a long term visa to apply for a visa at US consulate, Dublin. Since you are going there for a conference you will not be able to book an appointment. Check with them first Link to comment
