Can I travel to US before 1 week of VISA expiry with extension still in process

Hi,

 I have my visa till nov 30,2013.I will be applying for extension for h1b.I intend to travel to India and comeback on Nove 22nd.If my Hb is still under processing,Will I face any issues at the Port of Entry.My Port of ENtry would be SFO
