Hi friends-

 

Attended visa interview on 07/09/2013. Not many questions asked as there were no changes in the chain of EVC. Officer said as soon as PIMS verification is done, the passport will be sent to lumis.

 

So far haven't received any communication. I know lot of people gone through this. How long it takes to verify PIMS?

Normally it takes extra one day only. When was your Extn or New H1 got approved from USCIS?

it takes 8-10 business days to get the passport back

Thats what officer mentioned. Extension approved 3 months ago.

If you see issued in this website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

then you will get it the immediate next day.

Are we supposed to get an email when the visa status changes to "Issues"? or we get email only when its ready for pick up?

 

Anybody can clarify this. Appreciate all your responses.

You won't get an email when the status is "Issued". You will get an email with the waybill number the day when the status is "Issued" or next business day. Use the waybill number to check on passport pickup.
