Hi,

 

I work fulltime for   "CompanyABC" and joined them on H1B on July 2012.

 

"CompanyA" was renamed from "CompanyXYZ" in  Feb 2012. They just changed their name.

 

Since my H1B was filed after Feb 2012, in my petition the petitioner name is correct as "CompanyABC".

 

My wife went to India for H4 stamping in Oct and during her visa interview consulate officer told that the petitioner name is showing "CompanyXYZ" (Old name of the comp) ,where as in my petition(I-797) it is showing the correct current name "CompanyABC". They told that it will take 2 business days to fix this at their end and she got her H4 visa after 2 days with petitioner name as "CompanyABC" (correct).

 

MY QUESTION IS:

 

I am going for H1B stamping in Mexico next month. 

Is there any chance the issue which my wife faced in India, will happen to me?

 

I assume since my wife got visa in India, the issue has been resolved in their database.

 

Please let me know.
