Stay @ Vancouver - Downtown or Airport area?

I have the visa appointment scheduled in August and looking for the hotels to stay. Please suggest on the area where I can stay. Is it better to stay in airport area or downtown?

In Downtown its costly. So stay for couple of days in Downtown. Once you have done with the interview you can move any where you like. If you have given Richmond  loomis location for passport pickup then move to Airport area so that you can pick passport and get into airport easily

My interview is on a Wednesday and as per your suggestion its better to stay till Friday in downtown then move to airport as the pickup location is at Richmond.

post ur visa experience when done.

 

im thinking of super 8 near airport...its 10 kms from consulate...

 

downtown hotels seem to be very costly (more than $100/night)

Yes, in downtown its all expensive and we have to ensure there is free wireless in the room.
