Can I go for H1B stamping in Canada?

Hi All,

 

 I need suggestion guys. May be I'm too late to ask and might be repeated question too.

 

I came on H1 from dec,2009. My H1 is approved in 2008 but got stamped in 2009. Had two extensions since then, 1yr (2011-2012) and now 3yrs(2012-2015). I am going to india after 4years. I want to get stamped in Canada. I booked appointment in Calgary in Oct 7th.

 

My question is can i go for stamping to Canada. All I hear from my friends is only MS guys can to Canada. Is this true? I'm in EVC model for now.

That's not true, one of my friend came to USA through H1B visa. He got multiple extensions, and went to the interview @ Vancouver, Canada last Friday. He got his visa approved.

I am currently on B1 in US and applied for H1B recapture approval which is expected by end of july. My questions:

 

1. Shall i go for stamping to canada or india

2. Is there a way to get walk in visa for canada ?

That's true, its written in their website. But since yours is ext, I think you can go to Canada.
