Successful Visa stamping. EVC, Chennai (June 2013)

I have appeared for H1B visa stamping @chennai consulate in June 2013

 

Model: EVC, Did H1B amendment after chaning to current client.

 

Visa interview was simple. Asked the following questions.

 

1. XXX is you employer?

yes

2. How much you r getting?

$$$$/pm

3. Who is your client?

yyyyy

4. What do they do?

told...

5. What's ur project?

told

6. What are your job responsibilities?

told..what ever is there in the petition filed...

7. Explain the about the project?

explained....

 

Now golden words: Your VISA is aaproved.

 

Visa Interview Day: Friday

Visa approved and passport was available for pick up: Following Wednesday (Just 4 days)

 

client letter, lca, paystubs or w2s were NOT asked.

 

 

As other posts were mentioning, have proper documentation and be confident.

 

Note: Just go to the

1. OFC 5-10 mins before scheduled appointment time and directly go to the entrance gate.

2. To Consulate 15-20 mins before scheduled appointment time. And tell them your appointment is @ so and so time, then thye will send you directly to join the queue to enter into consulate. (Main gate on the main road, next to the flyover).

 

Don't go too early and get drenched in the high humidity.
