New I-94 process at port of entry

Hi,

 

I read that the paper I-94 are being no longer issues at POE and also that they are stamping few details (entry date, class of admission (or status) and the expiration date) on the passport, Does that mean the expiration data on the passport is the same as the last date on online I-94. I found that https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html has information about your I-94. will this I-94 has the same end date as the passport stamp date. previously the date on I-94 is the last day to stay in us, what is it now?
