EB3 to EB2 through new employer after I140 approval

Hello Everyone

 

My current employer has filed GC in EB3 category in year 2009 and I140 is already approved.

I have completed 9 years on H1B already and now on 3 years extension period as i already have I140.

 

My questions:

 

1. Can I switch job and transfer H1B Visa and file GC in EB2 category with new employer?

2. Can i keep old priority dates that i received on my GC processing under EB3.

3. Does anyone have experience in this and share any problems you faced and any precautions i need to take?

Everything is possible..provided the new job desc requires a EB2 candidate...do this thru an Attorney.

It is easier as a new employee than with the same company.

@t75: May I ask why it would be difficult to get it done with same employer. I was also trying to explore this option by switching organization as i recently got promoted.

The new job has to be significantly different from the old and experience gained at the same company does not count.
