Visa Stamping

Hi,

 

I've a question on stamping.

 

I'm currently on H1b status and my extension was approved on November 2012 and is valid till June 2014. I've a visa stamping on my passport with the same employer which expired August 2012

 

My wife is on OPT and her EAD expires on July 2013, but the last stamping on her passport is an H4 visa stamping with an expiry date of August 2012. Here in the US, she went on to a F1 status, completed her LLM and she will be coming back to an H4 status prior to the expiration of her EAD.

 

Do we need a stamping from India only or can we get our visas stamped from a different country, like Canada?
