adikelkar@gmail.com Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 Hello, I have few questions regarding travel to India after H-1 B approval. 1) My OPT ends on 1st September 2013. Company X filed for my visa on April 1, 2013 under premium processing and it got approved at end of April. My F-1 Visa is valid until 2015. Under these circumstances, can I travel back to India for 15 days in month of JULY? 2) On H-1B approval, I received an I-94 card whose number matches the number of the I-94 card I possess currently. However, If I travel back to India, I will be surrendering this I-94 and I will be issued a new I-94 on return to US. Will this create a problem during my H-1B stamping as the I-94 numbers wouldn't match? 3) If I travel back to India, do I need to surrender both the I-94 cards as they have the same number? In advance, I would like to thank you. Regards, Aditya
t75 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Do not surrender your H1B I-94. It is not in effect yet
