Online i-94 date different than stamped date, no printed i-94

Hi There,

 

My in-laws arrived in USA just a couple weeks back.  We recently checked thier passports and it has a stamped date for august 14th, surprised we pulled the info from i-94 from cbp website for the online i-94 and it has a date of november 16th.

a) Which date is actually a valid date?

b) Can we get this corrected? If we can get it corrected which date will they give us?

c) We live in CA-bay area? So how to get it corrected?

 

I did some googling and everywhere it says that online i-94 is a valid documetn. I want to be careful and get it corrected so we are on the safer side.

 

Please advice!
