wfh_gc Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Hi, I am currently working full time and planning to apply for home based jobs. Would a home based job create any issue with GC filing? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
shandan Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 Not to comment on your question, but in general have you given a thought about your predicament Employement based GC is processed for someone who's skills make them required to be present in US premanently and hence the GC. If you are thinking of the job which does not require you to go to work and only WFH, then in this day and age what keeps you from doing the job sitting in your home country and working from there. I do not see much potential on such a GC processing.
wfh_gc Posted June 13, 2013 Author Report Posted June 13, 2013 Shandan, I would like to avoid the confusion - I am currently working in the US at my employers work location and would continue working within the US for a home based job as well (if I could).
t75 Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Shandan's point is valid. You can work from home anywhere in the world. There would have thousands applying for the job on that basis and PERM could not go forward. What you want is NOT what the US needs. What YOU want is meaningless. Once you have a GC, you can do that , but until that time you have few options to do what YOU want.
