When to apply for EAD renewal and I-94 extension - L2

HI

 

My EAD is expiring in Jan 2014 and my L 2 I-94 is expiring in June 2014. However principal applicant  L1 I-94 is valid till Jan 2016.

Pls suggest as to when do i apply for EAD renewal and  L2 I-94 extension. Can i do both simultaneously and when so that i dont have a time gap from my job as i am currently working.
