F2 visa-Need to change name on SSN for drivers license

I am currently on a F2 visa . Previously I was on a L2 visa and therefore have a SSN.

I have a situation. My current name in the passport does not match with the name in my SSN.( I changed my last name in my home country). I went to the DMV to apply for a new drivers license. They said my application will not be accepted as my name in passport does not match with my SSN. Then I went to the SSN office to change my name but the officer said he cannot edit my name as I am on f2 visa and is not eligible for SSN. I cannot get a driver's license unless my last name is changed in the SSN office.

I don't know what to do now and I am completely stuck. If anyone knows any solution, please let me know.....
