H4 to F1 COS - do i need 3 month bank statements?

Hi,

I am currently on h4 and have an admit for fall 2013. I am applying for a COS to F1, and my father(India) is partly sponsoring me.

I have a letter from his bank(India) stating he has the required money in his savings account.

The letter is on the bank letterhead with the bank seal and signature etc..

Is this bank letter enough for the COS or do i need 3 months bank statements too?

I suppose not, only if you are funding your self, you have to show. But, I'd advise you to keep it, since they ask for copy of transaction, it should not really matter..
