stlorena
Hello. I am currently in my 4th year of H-1B and am planning on changing employers. Most of my documents, including my BSc. degree have been evaluated/translated 5 years ago. I have retained copies of everything and am thinking of reusing these old translations/evaluations for this new transfer. Do you think I should get new documents? Thank you in advance. This could be a big money saver! Link to comment
Attorney_10
Generally, evaluations do not expire and can be used with subsequent immigration filings. Please consult with a qualified immigration attorney to determine whether your specific evaluation/s are sufficient to use in future filings. Link to comment
stlorena
Thank you. I did submit the documents with the old evaluations and it was not a problem. However, I still received an RFE. They ask us to demonstrate the position require a Bachelor's Degree. They want to see similar positions of accountants in the company are also supported by Bachelor Degrees and they want to see copies of those degrees. That is absurd! No employer asks for those. Some may ask for transcripts and some may conduct background checks. But they still don't keep copies of their employees' degrees! Link to comment
