H1 approved, Cap-Gap I20 from DSO and Stem extenstion RFE

I have applied for OPT stem extension in March 2013. My company filed H1 in April 2013 and was approved for 3 years.

My OPT expires in June 2013.

I came to know that I fall under automatic cap-gap and received cap-gap I20 from school DSO.

I got RFE on stem extension application.

DSO asked me to withdraw the stem extension OPT application, as do not need STEM extension anymore and also I have cap-gap I20 to work till Sep 30 2013.

Yes, that is correct advice. It also does not hurt to respond to the RFE if you can.
