IT returns and h1b visa stamp

Hi,

I am plaining to go to India,Mumbai for my first H1B stampaing and have following question:

1) I have joinly filed the IT returns for me and my wife for the 2012 but it was rejected by the IRS due to error in her last name in the ITIN number document(she is on H4 visa). Do I need to make this corrected before I leave the USA(It takes atleast 6-8 weeks)?

if you are asking if that affects the H1 stamping..then NO...it would not affect your H1B stamping.

And does it create any problem for my wife's H4 stamping? As she has her last name wrong on her ITIN card?
