I will be soon promoted to Project Engineer position. The Project Engineer position's job requirement is BS + 5 years of experience. I have Bachelors(USA) and Masters(USA) and Experience as an Electrical Engineer in the same company for 4 years 6 months. Am I eligible for EB2 category? When can I apply? My current H1B expires Aug 2014.
omshiv Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Yes, you should be eligible. I believe if the position also asks for MS + 3 yrs of experience...then you surely can....I would still wait for senior members to comment on this. Your company/employer can apply anytime.

Should i just wait to finish my 5 years with the company and then get promoted? My only worry is that i will be too close to my h1 expiration.
