Ela99
Hi, I applied for opt extension on March 28th, since then it is in Initial review. I also planned to travel India on July 2nd and return on end of July. Is it advisable to travel India when application is in process and can i return back without my OPT card in hand? Thanks Link to comment

Initial Review On May 28, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. ashakell
Its not advisable to travel when any of the immigration visa status is in process, Opt ext is a via requesting USCIS to extend the work period and will be applying your H1B soon. when you visit outside US your application will be terminated.(since is says you are not intrested to work anymore) Link to comment
