Cannot retrieve I-94 in CBP website

New I94 Process: As you are aware of the fact that CBP has automated the I-94 process for all travelers from May 2013 and we are expected to retrieve the I-94 Admission Number upon arrival using the Link: https://i94.cbp.dhs....94/request.html

Details of Issue: After landed in USA through New York port of entry I was trying to retrieve the I-94 in and system display as Not Found. I have gone through the CBP INFO Center Home page and found that “The I-94 Form will be created electronically upon arrival and will be available immediately for verification purposes” (https://help.cbp.gov..._id/1652/kw/i94 )

Solution: This issue exists for the professionals who have two first or last names (which is common in India). In order to validate the I-94 in CBP website, one should enter their entire name (without spaces) and CBP website retrieves the information. After retrieving the information, we need to call Deferred Inspections officer closes to your area (the below link) and request them to correct it. Hi Kumar, I have entered US on Jun 2012. I have paper I-94 with me. I tried to retrieve from the site but i am not getting it. But for my wife(on L2) able to get the record. I have traveled to Canada(alone) on Aug 2012 and returned in 10 days. So i didnt get any new I-94. I dont know this caused any issue. Could you tell me what could be the problem. Thanks In Advance

I have come to US on H1B with my family in the 1st week of June 2013. I am able to retrieve my spouse's and my I94. But have a problem retrieving my son's I94. The system shows the error that File Not Found. Tried out all permutations and combinations of names to check if this can be retrieved. He just has One First Name and One Last Name. He is 20 months old. As per the current process would need I94 for enrolling into Insurance.

 

 

Could you please let me know how to rectify this. Is going to Deferred Inspection Office only solution?

I am also facing same problem. I reached US at SFO POE on jun 27. I am not able to find my i94 in CBP. Its says record not found. However i am able to see my previous entry in the site not the current one. Is there any wait period to get i94 updated in cbp site? I read its less than 24 hours.

Please help me on what needs to be done as i need i94 urgently.

Its the other way round for me. I departed US few weeks ago and am still able to pull in my I94 record. Am not sure what the next steps are in this situation.

Hello, July 9th 2013 I entered US from Canada as TN and I was not given i94. I was told to go online and retrieve it.

I just want to mention that following the poster's advise (remove spaces in between my two last names) I was able to get my i94.

I had spent a lot of time trying and looking for information to solve my problem and found it in this forum so thanks a lot.

i entered US on JULy 11th at Newark. I wnt to canda for 5 days and i submitted my earlier I-94 to the airline while leaving US. I went for stamping in canada and entered with new visa. I am not able to retrieve the I94 form the CBP site. it says record not found. Even i have multiple first names and i tried all the ways. Other thing is that i am able to pull my earlier I94 details but i entered with new visa on july 11th. Please let me know how to resolve this. Whom shall we contact abt these issues.

I had the same problem, when I submit the online I-94 form request - it says "record not found". I tried two days calling different numbers and in the end got the right contacts. For all who have this problem - please go the below websites

and look for your port of entry office and call them. After dialing the number you can just press '0' to reach the customer service. After multiple tries I was able to reach the correct supervisor. 

 

Here is the problem that I had - my last name (Family Name) has two names and in the immigration process the space inbetween the names was removed. I had the supervisor change that to include space and it worked fine. The reason I was told is - the airline ticket on which I travelled had the Last name without spaces. Hope this helps many.

Was stuck with same issue. The issue is with the typo in name some way or other . For me they misspelled the first letter of my name.

I can able to pull my I-94 and my daughter I-94 by Online, but not my wife I-94.

I contacted "port of entry office" and they told that they could not locate my wife's passport in their record. What should I do now?

 I have the same issue and had to enter my last name and then first part of my first name

Hope this would help all those whose " I 94 not found online" .  

 

This happened to my in laws. her I 94 was not found when we searched with her name. Then in online/Customer service they told us to go to deferred inspection office in the airport terminal. No appointment needed. this office will be from 10am to 2 pm Mon - thur.in IAD airport it will be in International Arrival teminal( first one only). you can easily find it when you go inside , this office will be near to last baggage claim (note: This is for IAD airport, ). people are sitting for hours , it passed 2 then one person came and announced "All i-94 cases , please come in line" then he took all the documents and Passports from every one. For us he took only passport (No documents, but he took documents for others. better to take all documents that you have posted for the visa with recent pay stubs etc). With in 30 minutes he came back and gave i-94. This all happened after 2pm.  Hope this would help....!!!!!!!!

Saved a trip to CBP office. There were 2 issues

1. I had 2 last names and they had merged it closing the space in between

2. The last letter in my last name was omitted
