My Wife is on H-1b visa due for renewal by sept . her green card became current this month but her visa screen document expired & to re-issue visa screen she needs Toefel (ibt) scores . in case if she doesn't clear toefel score by sept ..worst case scenario what options she has ? ( i am on H-1b visa)

- Can she stay in the country & change her status to H-4 ( dependent)? since i am on H-1b?

- Can she delay filing 1-485 till she passes her exam ?

- Is it safe for her to travel out of the country?

What other alternative she have?

It's not clear what's going on with her green card application, so it is hard to advise. Yes, she may change to H4. Can't advise on anything else.
