tonyboysmith Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Hello, I'm planning to invite my sister-in-law to visit us in the U.S. She is 25 years old and married. She is employed. I want to know how to apply visitor visa for her? Do I need to submit the following documents 1)invitation letter to the Consulate, 2) I-134, 3)invitation letter to my sister in law Or should she apply visitor visa by her self and can she tell the visa officer that she is coming to visit us ? Please provide some suggestions.
omshiv Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 why would only your Sis in law come without her family...regardless let her handle her own documents...you stay out of this as it will make matters complicated as there is no concept of sponsorship to visitors.
rahul412 Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Or should she apply visitor visa by her self and can she tell the visa officer that she is coming to visit us ? This is the best. Visiting relatives may be/ may not be a good reason to apply for visa.
tonyboysmith Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks for the suggestions. She applied the visa by herself. The visa interview went fine and she got her visa without any issue. Sorry for the late response.
