chitrayadhav
Hi, I am currently in my H4 Visa and looking to do my Phd in April 2014 by transferring to F1 visa. My husband is currently in his Green Card processing and if I change my visa status to F1, I will be removed from the Green Card Process. But my question is , once after he receives his Green Card after 3 years or so, Will I be able to change my F1 to H4 and attain Green Card status along with him? I should be prepared for the long term changes. Would be great if you can help! Regards, Chitra Link to comment
t75
You may have timing problems on the COSs. In addition, your F-1 Could/should be denied. It is never guaranteed to occur. Link to comment
JoeF
if I change my visa status to F1, I will be removed from the Green Card Process. Huh? Why? Besides, it is perfectly possible to study while on H4. You can't work on campus on H4, though, which may be a requirement for the PhD (like working as TA for some quarters.) Link to comment
