1 or 2 appointments? Tijuana experience?

My visa was stamped in 2010, and due for re-stamping. Can anyone confirm if it will require 1 or 2 appointments...so, will I need a separate appointment for photograph and fingerprinting or not?

I am trying to decide whether I should get the stamping in Tijuana, Mexico or wait for my trip back to India later this year,and so want to know about this before I pay up the fees in either place.

Also, if anyone has experience of stamping in Tijuana, will be nice to hear about it. Was it smooth...how long it took...is it safe when staying there for a day or two?
