H1 Transfer after six years.

Hi I am currently working with big Indian based consulting firm and working in US. My project was over last week and is looking for new projects. My company has given six weeks notice. I am completing six years by Dec 2013. Current company started my green card labor application in Jan 2013 4th week. It is not a year when my six year cap. I have Labor and I140 approved from my previous company. If I get another job and do H1 transfer, How long my visa will be extended. Can I get three more years extension or only until Dec 2013. I appreciate your response. It is difficult to get a new job only for remaining 7 months H1 visa. Thanks. NDKAR.
