Asked for Client letter

Asked fro W2

Asked for LCA

Said, Everything looks good. for your case we need to go through administrative processing. Can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Asked if I want the passport back.

I said No,

Said It will be quick if they keep the passport.

I guess it has something to do with the name check verification , It would be better to have your passport with you when you are in a foreign country .Keeping the passport doesn't expedite the verification process .

You can always go to the consulate to get your passport back if needed .
