Full name written in place of family name

Hi,

My father is visiting me in US on B1/B2.

While filling out the I-94 form he did entered name wrongly as stated below:

In I-94

Family Name: Umesh Kumar (WRONG)

First(Given) name: Umesh (CORRECT)

In Passport (actual):

Given name(First) : Umesh

Surname or lastname : Kumar

Is it going to be any problem?

Not a problem as your father is not going to apply for a DL...anways not an issue.

One question as my father is not going to apply Driver's license , SSN etc . So, no problem in this regard.

My only worry is if it is going to create any problem in the departure records. Is it going to cause any issue if he visit me in future again?
