baddamsravanthi Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 I have a few queries. My company applied for my H1B this year. I am on opt extension which expires this year end. It so happened that my school checked my sevis status and told they see change of status to H1B pending and gave me a receipt number. Yesterday my employer called to check if the receipt number belonged to me, to uscis. USCIS confirmed that the name was the same and notice date was 12th april, received date was 8th april. Attorney claims they did not receive the receipt yet. Some of our colleagues are even getting their approvals. I am very worried. Do waitlisted applications get a receipt number but the receipt notice is not mailed? Do i fall under taht category? Or is it possible that the mail is lost? Is there any way to confirm if i got selected in lottery.
sk.january Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 If you have the receipt # via your SEVIS or fee-checks cashed, your case was selected in the lottery. This is just a delay in mail to attorney/employer.
